Uncertainty shrouds the formation of a unity government in Zimbabwe as the main opposition MDC has unanimously rejected SADC proposals and has set conditions for their joining any unity government. Effectively, the opposition wants to have the amendment number 19 of the constitution passed before any governement is formed. Meanwhile, a cholera outbreak has hit the nation and deaths are on the increase. This has been attributed to poor health facilitaties, failure of ZINWA to provide adequate and clean water supplies and general decay in the humanitarian state of the nation.
