The Zimbabwe Government of National Unity agreement is under threat of collapse as the parties are not agreeing on how to share some important cabinet posts. It is reported that ZANU PF is insiting on taking all the important cabinet positions thus reducing the MDC to a junior partner in the government. As a result, the MDC has called on the mediator, deposed South African President, Thabo Mbeki to intervene, whilst ZANU PF has rejected the proposal saying there are no disagreements that require his role. In the meantime, Zimbabweans continue to suffer under shocking and increasing levels of poverty.
