Lovemore Matombo and Irene Petras on EVS Africa Day!
On the upcoming Africa Day Zimbabwe Watch will organise a workshop with Lovemore Matombo and Irene Petras. They will discuss the current human rights situation in Zimbabwe, the political impasse and the possible way forward for Zimbabwe.
Matombo, chairman of the Zimbabwean Congress of Trade Unions (ZCTU), is also one of the main guest on the large scale event and will present a key note address on 30 years of Independence in Zimbabwe and the role of the Trade Unions. Irene Petras is the director of Zimbabwe Lawyers for Human Rights, an organisation which defends and assists human rights activists. FNV chair Agnes Jongerius, who visited Zimbabwe last year, will be the facilitator of the workshop.
