The newsletter will appear every two months and will contain the latest news about the activities of Zimbabwe Watch and its members, as well as information on the latest developments in Zimbabwe.

Zimbabwe Watch and the European Partnership for Democracy organize a debate in The Hague with Irene Petras (Director Zimbabwe Lawyers for Human Rights) en McDonald Lewanika (Coordinator Crisis in Zimbabwe Coalition).

A delegation of prominent Zimbabwean civil society leaders will visit several European countries, marking the second anniversary of the Global Political Agreement.

From April 20 to April 24 ZCTU President Lovemore Matombo was in the Netherlands. He was the main guest at the EVS Africa Day and met with Minister of Foreign Affairs Maxime Verhagen.

Godfrey Kanyenze, Director of the Labour and Economic Development Research Institute of Zimbabwe (LEDRIZ), will present a lecture at the African Studies Centre in Leiden on Wednesday 24 April discussing the state of Zimbabwe's economy.

On the upcoming Africa Day Zimbabwe Watch will organise a workshop with Lovemore Matombo and Irene Petras. They will discuss the current human rights situation in Zimbabwe and will try to provide a future perspective.
