The directors of the companies given licenses to mine diamonds at the Chiadzwa diamond have failed again to attend a meeting with Parliament, evading for the second time on Monday a hearing to investigate their actions at the contentious diamond field in eastern Zimbabwe. One of two companies mining diamonds in Zimbabwe's controversial Marange field, Canadile Miners, has told the parliamentary committee probing its operations that the Ministry of Mines has advised it not to respond to requests for information from the panel.
