SADC fails to break deadlock

SADC has failed to break the deadlock over the Ministry of Home Affairs. The regional block instead advised the parties involved to form a government "forthwith" and to cominister the home affairs ministry. In accordance, Mugabe has vowed to form a government soon, while Tsvangirai has rejected the advice and called for AU intervention. His party is set to meet on Friday to map the way forward. Meanwhile the economic situation continues to drastically deteriorate in the country.
