GNU on course

The Government of National Unity is scheduled to be in place by end of next week after parties finally agreed to the deal. This follows a protracted period of disagreements on how to equitably distribute cabinet and other government posts. Amendment number 19 has since been approved by parliament. In what seemed a gesture of good faith, the Secretary general of the MDC, Tendai Biti was acquited by the Harare courts as he faced treason charges. Meanwhile, the three parties are now busy looking for their ministerial nominations and inner party jostling is high.
